Shannen Doherty |
|
Shannen
Doherty, born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 12, 1971, landed her debut role at age 10 on the series "Father Murphy," however,
she's better known for her role on "Little House on the Prairie" as Jenny Wilder when she was 11 years old.
Shannen's
real success came in 1990, when she scored a part on the television series "Beverly Hills, 90210" as Brenda Walsh, the teenage
twin sister of Brandon Walsh, when she was 19 years old. From this role, Shannen attracted publicity and was on the fast track
to celebrity status.
In 1994, Shannen left "Beverly Hills, 90210" and her claim to fame. She wanted more privacy and
to stay out of the public eye, however she worked on 1994's "Almost Dead" as Katherine Roshak and the 1995 film "Mallrats"
to keep her acting career alive.
Slowly, but surely, Shannen's celebrity status returned to full height as she appeared
in 1996's "Gone in the Night" as Cindy Dowabliby, 1997's "Sleeping with the Devil" as Rebecca Dubrovich, 1997's "The Ticket"
as CeeCee Reicker, and the much loved "Friends 'Til the End" as Heather Romley, also in 1997.
Shannen's next big break
was landing the role of "Prue Halliwell" in 1998's hit, "Charmed." She starred along side Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs
which caused so much publicity that all of the actresses became stars.
As for Shannen's love life, she's got quite
a record. A few of Shannen's ex's include Dean Factor to whom she was briefly engaged, but was separated from in 1991, Chris
Foufas, also engaged, but separated in 1992. Shannen married Ashley Hamilton on September 24, 1993, but they divorced five
months later because of the short amount of time they'd known each other--two weeks. Shannen then hooked up with the actor
known as Rob Weiss, but they separated shortly after their engagement in April, 1996. Shannen's latest beau was Richard who
she married in secret in Las Vegas on January 24, 2002, with only family and friends attending.

Paige
Matthews |
Paige
Matthews, born on August 2nd, 1975, is the youngest daughter of Patty Halliwell. After a forbidden affair with her whitelighter
and the birth of the secret child, Patty was forced to give Paige up for adoption--for her own safety. She ended up living
with her parents who were later killed in a car accident while Paige was in high school.
Paige first met her sisters
at the funeral of Prue--the eldest Halliwell daughter. When a newspaper caught Paige's attention at her job--South Bay Social
Services where she was a social worker--she was drawn to the funeral by an "unknown" force.
Acting upon Phoebe's premonition,
Piper and Phoebe set out to save Paige before she was killed by the same demon who killed Prue. Once calmed down, Paige returned
to the Halliwell Manor where she finally learned her destiny and the fact that she was a witch.
Currently, Paige has
quit her job to become a full-time witch as well as give Piper more time with her baby and give Leo and Piper "couple time."
In the words of Piper: Paige, listen to me. You're a witch--and a damn good one at that!
Paige's powers include
orbing, telekinetic orbing, and glamouring. Her power to orb is the standard mode of transportation for whitelighters. It
also comes in handy when the girls need to get out of trouble quickly. Telekinetic orbing, the power to "call" for things
and have them orb to her, can also come in handy for your everyday demonic battles. Paige's power of glamouring, or "changing"
into someone else, is spiffy if one wants to trick a demon or mortal into believing she is someone else.
Though Paige
is the youngest sister and witch, and though she seems whimsical at times, she appears to be "destined" for greater things. |
Alyssa Milano |
Alyssa Jayne Milano is the eldest child (she also has a brother, Cory) of Italian-American parents,
born in Brooklyn, New York, on 19th December 1972. She was first introduced to the world of fame aged 8 when her babysitter
decided she wanted to win a dancing role in the first national tour of 'Annie'. She took Alyssa along with her to the open
audition, and although failed to win a role herself, Alyssa beat 1,500 other hopefuls to bag a role in the chorus.
The
next 18 months saw Alyssa on tour, with her mother, Lin, in tow as chaperone. After leaving, she featured off Broadway, and
in television commercials until her big break came in 1983, aged 10. She was to play 'Samantha Micelli' in 'Who's the Boss?'
starring opposite Tony Danza, for the next 8 years, literally growing up in front of the camera and winning three Young Artist
Awards. She also made time to feature in several films, including 'Commando' in 1984, and to make a best-selling exercise
video in 1988 called 'Teen Steam'.
Upon 'Who's the Boss?' finishing, Alyssa worked in a number of forgetable 'made
for TV' movies until 1997 when she landed the role of 'Jennifer Mancini' in Melrose place, produced by Aaron Spelling. The
following year, 1998, Aaron's new baby was 'Charmed' and when Lori Rom dropped out after the pilot, Alyssa was ushered in
to star as 'Phoebe Halliwell' the youngest of three sisters, whom discover they are witches.
This was also the year
she met Cinjun Tate, lead singer of the rock band Remy Zero. They were married on New Year's Day in 1999, but unfortunately
is wasn't to be, and they divorced in November of the same year. Another 'beau of note' is Brain Krause, her co-star from
Charmed. They dated in 2001.
Currently Alyssa continues to portray 'Phoebe Halliwell' and now is also a producer of
'Charmed'. She also continues to work on her movie career, the lastest role being 'Cyndi' in 'Dickie Roberts: Former Child
Star.' |
Rose McGowan |
Rose is
the second child in a family of six born to a French mother, and Irish father. She entered the world on 5th September, 1973,
in Florence, Italy, and spent her the first nine years of her life in Europe, growing up in the commune environment of The
Children of God cult (whom also boasts the Phoenix Family as members [River, Joachim]) before moving to Seattle to attend
high school. She eventually left the commune at the age of 15, and moved off to Los Angeles to attend an arts school. Roses
first real break came through a chance meeting on the street with the director Gregg Araki, who cast her in his 1995 film
Generation of Doom, and Rose was now officially on the map!
She worked steadily and regularly, including an appearance
in Wes Cravens Scream the following year as Tatum. Unfortunately, her character bit the dust, and so didnt appear in the successful
sequels, but Rose continued to go from strength to strength. In 1999, she went to on take the lead role in the film Jawbreaker
a tale of girlfriends trying to cover up the murder of another friend. Rose excelled playing the controversial vampish character,
and it earned her an MTV Best Villain movie award nomination. Perhaps it was the influence of shock rocker Marilyn Manson
whom shed been dating since 1998 that helped her find the character so well? In any case, Roses continued appearances with
Manson (they announced their engagement in February, 1999), and work in films kept her in the public eye. All good things
come to an end though, and in January 2001 the couple announced they had split. It was in that year that Rose took a turn
in her career and moved onto the small screen with the role of Paige Matthews in the Warner Brothers supernatural series Charmed.
Currently a red-head, and living in LA, Rose continues to delight each week as the half witch-half whitelighter. |
